The YOU MATTER Campaigns are all about celebrating every person's value and worth!  This includes our students, our teachers, and families in our community. The goal of the YWC is to help students remember that their life matters, that we care about them and that there are resources available on campus and in our community that can help.

PRACTICE KINDNESS CAMPAIGN

You are worthy.
You are loved.
You are enough.
You deserve happiness.
You can ask for help
You are not alone.
#YouMatter

"It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences."

We go through our day with the best of intentions but when we are busy or stressed, we can forget to treat people with respect and compassion. Find a way to build one small act of kindness into your day.  Smile or say hello to a student you don't know. Give compliments. Remember to show appreciation and simply say please or thank you when you interact with people.

Use the hashtag #HereForYou on social media to let others know they have your support when they need it.

De-Stress Fest

Club Activities

De-stress & relax during finals week! Join us in January & May on campus to participate! [1] WC Club Ambassadors will host table at lunch with activities including a visit from several therapy dogs [2] WC will create a video for our school news [3] WC will participate in a social media campaign with self-care messages.

De-Stress

We celebrate Denim Day in honor of a woman who was forcibly raped by her driving instructor. The woman pressed charges, but the case was dismissed because the chief judge decided that, “... because the victim wore very, very tight jeans, she had to help him remove them, and by removing the jeans it was no longer rape, but consensual sex”

Why Therapy Dogs?

It is documented that interacting with animals can help ease depression and decrease stress by lowering levels of the hormone cortisol. Thank you to our LOVE ON A LEASH partners!
